Many patients opt for the convenience and rapid results of in chair teeth whitening, however, take home teeth whitening results are evident in around a week. 

Although teeth whitening is non-invasive and generally does not hurt, some patients do experience side effects, such as sensitivity, irritated gums, and even damage to tooth enamel. Prior to commencing a whitening regime, our oral health therapist will discuss your options and may also recommend additional steps to take, such as a comprehensive dental clean to help achieve the best results.

Although fees for teeth whitening cannot be bulk billed, take home packs are the best option if you are looking for an affordable way to whiten your teeth.

  • After you’ve made the investment in teeth whitening, it’s important to maintain an oral health regime that supports keeping your teeth white. This means brushing twice daily, flossing regularly, and avoiding things like tea, coffee, red wine, and smoking, which cause teeth to discolour. Because of the higher concentration of carbamide peroxide (hydrogen peroxide) used for in chair products, these tend to achieve longer lasting results than take home packs.
